Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.

Since 1996, Meals On Wheels Delaware events have raised more than $5 million for home-delivered meals programs in Delaware. Last year, hundreds of volunteers across the state of Delaware delivered over 690,000 hot, nutritious meals - and as many warm smiles - to over 4,400 homebound seniors.

The mission of Vision Academy Charter School is to prepare students in kindergarten through eighth grade to become responsible and articulate students and global citizens by using comprehensive curriculum designed to foster academic success, current technology to build self-reliance.

Alfred I. duPont married Alicia, his second wife, in 1907 and loved showering her with gifts. By far the grandest of these was the spectacular new house that he built for her on a 3,000-acre plot of land in Wilmington.
